Jason spent 20 years in hospitality before he built BevTeams. Ten of those years were behind the bar, including a run at Death & Co and a term as president of USBG NYC. The other ten were spent consulting, running operations, and fixing the same handful of problems over and over again at bars that otherwise had everything going for them.
He is not a theorist. He has poured the drinks, placed the orders, counted the shelves at 2am, and cleaned up the mess when the batching went wrong on a Saturday. BevTeams is built from that side of the bar, not from a spreadsheet.
Why BevTeams Exists
Every bar Jason ever worked in or consulted for had the same handful of problems. Ordering fell to whoever was around. Deliveries got checked against nothing. Syrups got made in a panic before doors opened. Recipes drifted from what was written down the day the bar opened. None of it was dramatic. None of it made the news. It just quietly cost money, every week, for years.
Nobody was building a business around fixing that. Consultants sell strategy. Managers get hired to run the whole building. Nobody was showing up on a schedule to do the specific, boring, recurring jobs that keep a bar's operation honest. That is BevTeams. The trades for bars. An electrician does not redesign your building, they fix your wiring on schedule and leave. That is the model here.
